Eco Clean Marine is proud to announce the awarding of a $200 scholarship to Foley High School student Escarlen Cruz in recognition of her leadership, initiative, and dedication to giving back to the local community.
Escarlen participated in Eco Clean Marine’s student fundraising initiative, where students were encouraged to step up as young leaders while supporting environmental efforts along the Gulf Coast. Through her participation and fundraising efforts, Escarlen earned a scholarship to help further her education as she prepares to attend Coastal Alabama Community College locally.
This scholarship marks the first student scholarship awarded through Eco Clean Marine’s new initiative focused on encouraging youth involvement, leadership, and community impact.
“We want students to know that leadership can start right now,” said Courtney Dombroski, founder of Eco Clean Marine. “Our goal is to celebrate and support students who are willing to take initiative, work hard, and make a positive difference in their community. Escarlen did exactly that, and we’re excited to support her next chapter.”
Eco Clean Marine hopes to continue growing the scholarship program in the future to provide more opportunities for local students who are passionate about community involvement, environmental stewardship, and leadership development. Applications for the next scholarship program will open in August, with the student fundraiser and volunteer program beginning in September.
