Orange Beach, AL – Feb 6th – Eco Clean Marine, a nonprofit dedicated to cleaning coastlines and protecting marine life, successfully hosted its first corporate trash pickup event in partnership with TMC at Cotton Bayou Beach Access. The event, which took place on February 6th, brought together 32 volunteers, who removed an astonishing 26 five-gallon buckets—a total of 130 pounds of waste—from the local shoreline in just one hour.
“With it being February and the off-season, I was a little concerned that we wouldn’t find much trash,” said Courtney Dombroski, President of Eco Clean Marine. “But the results were shocking—there’s still so much waste making its way into our coastal areas, even before the busy tourist season begins. It reinforced just how critical these cleanups are year-round.”
The event highlighted the power of corporate social responsibility, allowing TMC employees to participate in hands-on environmental action while engaging in team building and community service. Employees worked together to collect and sort trash, gaining a firsthand understanding of the impact pollution has on coastal ecosystems.
Why Corporate Cleanups Matter

“We’re thrilled to have partnered with TMC for our first corporate cleanup,” Dombroski continued. “Their enthusiasm and dedication made a real impact, and we hope to inspire more companies to join us in making a difference.”
